Discover what your most important values are with this new, comprehensive test!

Updated: Sep 28, 2021

Do you know what your most important values are? Even those of us who have thought carefully about what matters to us might not be aware of all the things we personally believe are valuable. Our free program, the Intrinsic Values Test, gets right to the heart of these questions, helping you to discover your own unique intrinsic values and what they say about you - check it out here!

Some of our regular users might have noticed that this program has been quietly live on our website for some time, but we're now telling everybody about it for the first time! If you haven’t taken it before, now’s your chance: the Intrinsic Values Test is based on extensive research we conducted into people’s most fundamental values, which we’ve written about before here. As well as examining what philosophers and psychologists have said about values, we collected over 3000 possible intrinsic values, categorising them into 22 categories which we use to help you map your own value system.

You can find out which of these 22 categories (neatly illustrated in this interactive infographic - just click on the categories to learn more about them!) are most representative of your own personal intrinsic values, what they say about your philosophical outlook and political alignment, and how they compare to the intrinsic values of the U.S. population at large.

For a chance to reflect on the things that truly matter to you and gain new insight into the way you view the world, look no further than the Intrinsic Values Test!
